Rath Yatra – Wheels of faith, hearts of devotion
The vibrant spirit of devotion came alive in Ambarnath as Jai Jagannath Odia Sanstha proudly organized the grand Rath Yatra, with wholehearted support from Bangali Sangha Ambarnath. The air resonated with chants of “Jai Jagannath!” as beautifully adorned chariots carrying the deities of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra were pulled through the streets by enthusiastic devotees. The procession was filled with the sounds of traditional drums, conch shells, and the joyous dancing of devotees dressed in colourful attire. This sacred journey was more than just a religious procession — it was a celebration of unity, culture, and community spirit. Bangali Sangha Ambarnath’s support added extra warmth to the festivities, strengthening the cultural ties between the Odia and Bengali communities of the city. The event concluded with prasad distribution and cultural performances, leaving everyone with hearts full of devotion and memories to cherish until next year’s Rath Yatra. Jai Jagannath!
